Pursuant to the Right of access to information of public sector law L. 184(I)/2017, any natural or legal person has the right to request access to information held by a public authority. Accordingly, in the interest of transparency and in compliance with the Right of Access to Information Held by Public Sector Bodies Law of 2017 (Law 184(I)/2017), the Cyprus Gaming and Casino Supervision Commission has submitted its Publication Scheme to the Commissioner for Access to Information, and the Publication Scheme has been approved.

Procedure for submitting a request for access to information held by the Cyprus Gaming and Casino Supervision Commission

Should any member of the public wish to submit a request for access to information held by the Commission that is not included in the Commission’s Publication Scheme, the request must be submitted in writing by one of the following means:

(a) by post to the following address:
3 Thaleias Street, 1st Floor, 3011 Limassol, Cyprus; or

(b) by email to: info@cgc.org.cy; or

(c) by submitting an electronic application

A request for access to information held by the Commission should include the following information:

  • the applicant’s full name and contact details (postal address or email address);
  • a description of the information requested; and
  • the preferred method of receiving the requested information.

The Cyprus Gaming and Casino Supervision Commission shall process requests for access to information within thirty (30) days from the date of receipt of the request.

It is emphasised that where the requested information falls within the absolute or qualified exemptions provided under the applicable legislation, the Commission shall not be obliged to confirm or deny whether it holds such exempt information where doing so would result in the disclosure of the exempt information or where the public interest outweighs the duty to confirm or deny its existence.
