The Council of the European Union adopted Council Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/689 which amends restrictive measures imposed on Iran.
Specifically, the EU decided to renew the final regulation, which imposes sanctions on the country, until April 13, 2026.
Moreover, during the course of the EU’s review of its sanctions list, the EU removed two individuals from the sanctions list.
The latest regulation also updates 20 entries, all of which remain subject to asset freeze and other restrictive measures.
