The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) issued a public statement on jurisdictions under increased monitoring with action plans to remedy their strategic anti-money laundering and counterterrorist financing (AML/CTF) deficiencies.
FATF announced that its so-called ‘Gray List’ now includes Bolivia and the British Virgin Islands. Both jurisdictions were issued specific recommendations and guidance for strengthening compliance with international AML/CTF standards.
FATF also removed Croatia, Mali, and Tanzania from the gray list in response to significant progress that the jurisdictions made to remedy their AML/CTF deficiencies.
The full list now includes 24 jurisdictions.
