Τhe Council of the European Union adopted new restrictive measures against five additional individuals responsible for serious human rights violations in Russia, including acts of repression against civil society and political opposition.

The measures, adopted under the EU Global Human Rights Sanctions Regime, include asset freezes and travel bans.
