The Council of the European Union adopted new restrictive measures against eight individuals and one entity in response to serious human rights violations and acts of transnational repression carried out by the Iranian regime.
The sanctioned individuals and entity are linked to the Zindashti network, which is believed to be involved in targeted killings, abductions, and harassment of Iranian dissidents abroad.
The measures include asset freezes and travel bans under the EU Global Human Rights Sanctions Regime.
