The Anti-Money Laundering Authority (AMLA) has launched a series of public consultations aimed at gathering input from stakeholders, including obliged entities, supervisory authorities, and the general public, on key aspects of the European Union’s anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing (AML/CTF) framework.
These consultations form part of AMLA’s mandate to develop Regulatory Technical Standards (RTS), guidelines, and supervisory practices that will enhance the effectiveness, consistency, and transparency of AML/CTF supervision across the EU.
Stakeholders are encouraged to participate and provide feedback on proposed measures that may impact compliance obligations, supervisory expectations, and risk mitigation practices, including those relevant to the gaming sector.
Participation in these consultations contributes to shaping a robust and harmonised AML/CTF regime at EU level, ensuring that sector-specific risks, including those associated with land-based casinos, re adequately addressed.
