The Council of the European Union imposed restrictive measures against seven individuals and three entities involved in activities that undermine the sovereignty and democratic institutions of the Republic of Moldova.
These new listings target actors allegedly linked to Moscow-backed political networks accused of election interference and destabilisation efforts.
The restrictive measures include asset freezes and travel bans, and form part of the EU’s broader framework to counter foreign interference in democratic processes.
