The Council adopted a fourth package of restrictive measures against two individuals and two entities, in view of the continued severe situation in Sudan, where fighting is ongoing between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) for more than two years.
The sanctioned entities are linked to key sectors that contribute to the continuation of hostilities, such as banking and mining. The individuals are accused of direct involvement in atrocities including ethnic-based violence, forced displacement, and attacks against civilians in conflict-affected regions.
