EU Extends Russia Economic Sanctions for another year

On June 25, 2026, the Council renewed the EU restrictive measures in view of the Russian Federation’s continuing actions destabilising the situation in Ukraine for a further 12 months, until 31 July 2027. The decision follows the European Council on 18-19 June 2026, where EU leaders agreed to extend the economic sanctions against Russia for twelve months.
