European Union Extends Niger Sanctions Through October 2027

The Council of the European Union adopted Council Decision (CFSP) 2026/2277 to extend restrictive measures imposed under Decision (CFSP) 2023/2287 concerning the situation in Niger for another year, through Oct. 24, 2027.

The decision changes the expiration date in the existing sanctions regime but does not add or remove designated persons or entities.
