Russian hybrid threats: EU lists two entities over information manipulation activities

  • Posted by: Andreas Pavlou

The Council decided to adopt restrictive measures against two additional entities responsible for Russia’s continued hybrid activities, in particular propaganda and disinformation.

The measures apply to Euromore, a media platform that amplifies pro-Kremlin narratives and disseminates disinformation aimed at European audiences, often questioning the legitimacy of EU institutions and supporting Russia’s war against Ukraine. They also target the Foundation for the Support and Protection of the Rights of Compatriots Living Abroad (Pravfond), a state-funded organisation used to promote Russian influence abroad through legal and analytical content reinforcing key disinformation narratives.

These entities have been designated for supporting actions and policies that undermine democracy, the rule of law, and security within the EU and Ukraine.
